What is the difference between the in-person and virtual courses?
The virtual and in-person courses are identical in terms of the content covered. A list of each day’s lectures, and a description of each lecture’s content can be found in the course description: Beyond the Basics courses.
Are there tests, quizzes, or papers to write?
There are no formal tests, quizzes, or papers.
Where will the course be held?
The in-person course will be held at the Rutgers University Inn and Conference Center in New Brunswick, New Jersey. The conference center is a spacious facility that has ample free parking, including handicapped parking. The classroom is in close proximity to the entrance to the building, and the facility is handicapped accessible.
Is there lodging nearby?
The Rutgers University Inn and Conference Center offers affordable lodging just steps from the classroom. Attendees who wish to stay at Rutgers during the week will need to secure their own lodging, either through the Rutgers University Inn or another hotel. Lodging is not included in the program fee.
How does virtual attendance work?
Each virtual attendee will need a computer and reliable internet access. You will be provided with a link that will bring you straight into the classroom, where you will see the presentations on your computer screen, and will hear the presenters in real time. Virtual attendees will be able to see the presentations on screen, will have the opportunity to ask questions, and will hear questions from other attendees (both virtual and in-person).
How do I sign up, and how do I pay?
You can register here: Beyond the Basics course. Once you are registered, you will receive a Square invoice via email for your registration fee, and you can pay by credit or debit card.
